Spring Is Here – Is It Time For A New Privacy Fence?

Spend Your Time Outside

The weather is beginning to warm up, and that can only mean one thing. It’s time to spend time outside! Your family has been cooped up inside for months, and it’s finally time to enjoy the beautiful weather and good times with friends family. Maybe it’s time to get out the grill, open up the pool, or clean off the swing set. Your privacy fence creates a safe outdoor space for your family, and it’s finally time to enjoy that space!

Before your outdoor season starts, take a look at your fence. Don’t have a fence? Add one to create a safe outdoor space for entertaining.

Your time outdoors could only be made better by adding a beautiful, high-quality Roark privacy fence to secure your setting. Enjoy an afternoon of burger flipping and feasting with your friends, knowing that the children and family pets are safe. Summer is made for backyard fun surrounded by quality, protective privacy fencing.

Privacy fencing allows gatherings without hosting the eyes of your neighbors. If you like to entertain, you may find your neighbors will appreciate your privacy fence as much as you do! Fencing will help your neighbor retain their privacy from your guests.

Privacy fencing can be used around the pool, a small area, or the entire space. Fences keep children and pets safe from wandering too far. Fences also keep stray pets and their waste out of your yard.

A Fence with Added Security

If a fence does not secure your property, your family can risk property damage as well as a lack of privacy. Unfortunately, theft is an issue that some homeowners face. Many property owners add a shed or garage to store their belongings, but that can only hold so much. To avoid any potential harm to your property, add a privacy fence!

Privacy fences obscure the view of an opportunist looking to take something that doesn’t belong to them. Not only will a privacy fence block their view, but a secure privacy fence with a locking mechanism can slow their progress trying to get in or out.

New Privacy Fence That Lasts For Years

Adding a privacy fence to your property is an investment. Most fences last a minimum of 10 years but can last as long as 30 years with the best materials and maintenance.

Cedarwood is the hardiest option available. It is naturally resistant to pests and decay. It requires little to no maintenance and keeps its beautiful reddish color through the years. Cedar is the top-of-line privacy fence, and the cost reflects that. An adequately installed privacy fence can last 25-30 years.

Other construction materials include pressure-treated wood or vinyl.

Pressure-treated wood is not naturally resistant to pest or decay. Instead, it goes through a process to enhance its longevity. The process consists of submerging the wood and pressurizing the chamber the wood is submerged in to force the treatment into the wood. Once treated, the wood can last up to 15 years with some maintenance. We recommend staining or painting the wood every few years for added protection.

Vinyl is a popular choice of privacy fence material. It low maintenance, requires no painting or staining – only a quick rinse and maybe a gentle scrub to loosen debris. Vinyl is available in a variety of colors to fit your style.
